The Young Turks

Sorry.  I just can’t take it.  A good friend of mine follows TYT and brings them up frequently so I thought I’d give them another chance.  I made it 3 minutes into this video before I couldn’t take the bullshit anymore.

0:52 there’s MSC right by Pence’s head. At 1:44 there is no MSC and there’s this swirling logo that wan’t in the earlier clip. These two sound bites were taken at different meetings, but the the tyt hosts act like they are from the same event.

And then tyt cuts to Jeb Bush’s “please clap” moment? So what’s their point? Everyone knows Jeb Bush is an idiot, and that event took place 5 years ago. Why not cut to a more recent clip of Nancy Pelosi’s “please clap” moment?

They make a valid point about Americans being easily lead with sloganeering, but that doesn’t mean the MAGA crowd is wrong.  Think about Europe, and the rest of the world, they say.  But when does Europe and the rest of the world think about America?  Why not put Americans first for a change?

Enough with the empire.  Re-ignite the republic.

Want to save the world?  Stop supporting globalization.  If it’s true that the 15 most active intercontinental ships are responsible for as much green house gasses as all the cars in the world then the best thing we can do for the environment is stop shipping so many things back and forth.

Bill Browder

I suspect that Bill Browder is a deep state agent who went to Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union to collude with bad people to defraud  Russia of hundreds of millions of dollars.  The lawyer was murdered but how do we know that the Russian government did it?  I’m looking for the articles I read that claimed the lawyer was ready to turn state’s evidence and that the oligarchs that Browder was in bed with murdered the lawyer to shut him up.

Clinton’s link to Putin is the underreported ‘dossier’ bombshell

On a related note, Putin made a point during the Helsinki conference that no one noticed.  Just because Soros is an American does not mean that America is to blame for his global meddling.  Maybe the Intelligence agencies are correct (which isn’t guaranteed because they have their own agendas) and it was Russians who were members of the GRU.  Does that necessarily mean that they were acting on behalf of the Kremlin and/or Putin?

If we damn the Putin because of the actions of some GRU agents, then shouldn’t we also damn Obama because of the actions of some FBI agents?

Hey Democrats, Fighting Fair Is for Suckers

It was easier before Trump’s Presidency.  I disliked both liberals and conservatives equally (probably because I never thought too deeply about which side of the political spectrum I fell on; Government  was bad, ’nuff said.) and vocally opposed both the Democrats and Republicans… mostly the Republicans.  Both Parties are duplicitous but the GOP is worse because it’s blatantly hypocritical.  It’s candidates campaign on small government but always increase its size and scope when elected.  At least the Democrats are honest… they campaign on bigger government, higher taxes and a “free” lunch and deliver as much when elected.

Now, more and more, I find myself tolerant of and leaning towards the conservatives and Republicans, and despising the liberals and Democrats.  It’s not that I support the Republican party more than I used to.  It’s that the Democrats and Left in general are so bat-shit crazy that any refutation of their ideas inadvertently defends the Republicans.

Has the Left gone completely insane or are they finally showing their true colors?  Maybe the two aren’t mutually exclusive?  Their anti-Trump rhetoric has gone beyond the bounds of reason along with their belief that everyone who doesn’t agree with them is a nazi, fascist, xenophobic, homophobic, trans-phobic, misogynistic, white supremacist, racist bigot.

The article on that I linked to is a good example of this.

“If Democrats are wise, they will embrace President Donald Trump’s demonstration that there no longer are any unwritten rules in American politics…”

It’s about time that the right stop playing by those unwritten rules.  The left did so decades ago and it’s put the right at a disadvantage ever since.  As Saul Alinsky wrote, “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.”

We ought to be past surprise, for example, that the “let the people decide” standard invented by Mitch McConnell to block Merrick Garland’s Supreme Court nomination no longer applies now that Trump can choose a successor for Anthony Kennedy.

Wait, what?  How is it that it’s not “let the people decide” this time?  How is it more democratic to have a President in his eighth and last year of office pick a Supreme Court justice than it is to have a President in the second year of his first term do the same?

Maybe Rob Goodman is referring to the elections this November?  I hope not because I’d like to believe he’s smarter than that.  This country holds elections every two years.  If the President waited until every petty election concluded, he would get nothing done.

The people decided when they elected Trump as President, and a lame-duck President shouldn’t try to impose his will on the people.

And that’s just the first three paragraphs (I skipped over the second, which is so full of nonsense it’s staggering).  There’s so much to debunk in this article, but I have limited time and other sites to visit.

The overall flaw with the article is that the author presumes that American liberal democracy is a thing worth preserving.  At least half the country thinks it isn’t.  American liberal democracy has metastasized into socialism and that goes against the the principles this country was founded upon.

3 reasons the American Revolution was a mistake

What scares me the most about this article is that there are people out there who take this seriously and agree with the author.

How Many Fish In The Pond?

A fisherman casts his bait into the water and catches a fish.  How many fish are in the pond?  How big are the biggest fish?  What other types of bait are the fish willing to take?

I’m thinking about pizzagate and pedophiles and the dissonance in public opinion.  Why does everyone so readily and offhandedly dismiss pizzagate outright?  Why is it so hard to accept that there may actually be such dark things at the highest levels of authority and power?

Why is it that the average man is constantly under suspicion of being a pedophile?  No one questions a woman sitting on a park bench watching children in the playground but eyebrows are raised (at the least) if it’s a man sitting there.  And yet no one applies that same level of suspicion to the clergy or government officials.  People still implicitly trust them.

There was an uproar in the 1980’s because some children in preschool claimed they were victims of satanic abuse by their teachers.  And yet when there was a story in 1989 about a child prostitution ring with ties to the White House it fades into the night.  I remember seeing the headline and reading the article in the newspaper when it first came out, and it’s always bothered me that nothing came of it.

And what about that ring that was broken up a few years ago in… Brussels? Austria? Belgium?  I would swear that a few years ago I read about some sort of sex trafficking / pedophilia group getting broken up in the EU but I can’t find anything about it now.  I’ll link to it when I do find a reference to what I’m talking about.

Is Biden creepy?

I’m not sure now.  My gut response is yes.  The way he manhandled little girls is creepy.  But maybe I’m succumbing to the current bias against men.  Maybe he was just being “grandparently”?
